Congratulations to Brandon Carroll Blevins, Geologist at D. R. Price Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. PC (DRPE) on gaining his Onsite Soil Evaluator (OSE) certification through the Virginia Department of Professional Occupational Regulation (DPOR).  With this certification Brandon and DRPE can evaluate soils onsite without the requirement of laboratory testing or percolation testing for the design of conventional subsurface sewage drain fields for residential and commercial applications.  Brandon can also work with the Professional Engineers (PE’s) on staff at DRPE to design alternative sewerage systems when soil conditions are not conducive for conventional systems.

Brandon is a 2008 graduate of Radford College in Virginia with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology.  He is currently working toward obtaining his licensure as a Professional Geologist (PG).  Brandon also continues his education with seminars, workshops, and online in a variety of topics such as alternative sewage system design, wetland delineation, and benthic macro-invertebrates.  He also has goals of obtaining certification in these fields also.

William (Bill) Whitt was recently recognized for his 25 years of employment at D. R. Price Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. PC.

Bill grew up in Russell County in the Honaker area and has lived here most of his life.  Bill began working for D.R. Price Engineering & Land Surveying Inc. PC in January of 1989.  At that time Danny R. Price (now deceased) of Finney and Richard L. Bostic of Swords Creek were operating the business in Swords Creek Virginia.  Bill was the first full time employee.  Bill (a graduate of SWVCC) started in a rodman position doing mostly property surveys and underground mine surveys. Bill soon moved into a crew leader position working on various projects.  You may have seen him on VDOT Bridge and Highway work from Pulaski County to Lee County, Russell County PSA Projects, Russell County Landfill, Tazewell County Landfill, CNX Gas Project, CONSOL, Honaker Football Field, Richlands Football Field, Lebanon Track and many other projects down thru the years.  You may have even seen him in your backyard or your neighbors doing a property survey.  You may also have seen him as a referee at a high school football or basketball game.  Bill is one of 36 employees currently employed at D.R. Price Engineering & Land Surveying Inc. PC.
